Towing Troubles

If anyone has ever lived downtown, in I am sure, any larger state, you have pry experienced being towed. The other week my poor little 96' Honda Accord was taken in the night. All because my friend told me it was alright to park in her apartments garage for the night, which apparently, is not alright after all. After searching forever for the manager on duty that night to try and find who to call to reclaim my vehicle, we find out all I needed to do was pay a 5 buck pass to cover a free night of parking. What a great friend right? Even so, she did help me scrounge up the TWO- HUNDRED AND EIGHTY TWO DOLLARS, it cost me to rescue my poor innocent car from the dirty, grubby hands of its prisoners. Everyone who works in these tow places have that look ready, that "I am ready for a fight" kinda look. Rightfully so, they should, for they are ROYALLY taking advantage of individuals!! There should be a ban put in motion of some sort, its not right for it to be so much money, especially when they simply drove it to the tow yard around the block!!! Ludicrous!

- LOL the picture above makes me feel a bit better...nope still hurts :(

Loves lost, but not forgotten

I cannot help but think today, about my ferrets Bob and Dodi, which my boyfriend and I had to give away this year. We had to part ways with our little ones, for work got scarce and it was hard to pay the bills, newly living on our own. With rent and food to buy, and steady work being hard to find, we felt heartsick seeing their hungry, sweet, little faces. I remember the way they would steal our slippers and hide our oven mitt. Such random pieces of everyday life, they found such joy in stealing. Hence, the name ferret, Latin for "little thief", and being that they had the whole studio apt. to run free, they found plenty of spaces to hideout. I recall the times when we filled the tub with snow from a Minnesota blizzard, and let them bury and dig. Trying to walk them on leashes at Midnight, knowing they were illegal to have in the apt. so no one could know. The way they would steal fallen cheerios from our breakfast bowls, then run to a safe zone under the bed to enjoy the tasty morsel. I know they will have a better home than what we could have given them at the time. Sometimes you have to be grown, and realize a sad situation. I want people to respond with any stories they may have, of their pets whom may have seen the same fate as my two lovable thieves, as sir Bob, and Dodi. I love you, and miss you always...

Aloha to all

My reasoning for this blog is to be able to keep it real and be me! To be able to talk about all types of things that are going on in the world and in my life, perhaps relatable, perhaps not. The title of my blog, being coke bottle dreamz, came to me when on the ocean shore as a young girl growing up. Finding a tossed bottle with a note inside, speaking of the dreams and ambitions, of a secret someone out in the world. I will think of this blog, as my tossed bottle, and inside I will write my dreams, thoughts, and ambitions. I will then toss it into the ocean abyss of the Internet, for wandering soles on the shore to stumble upon, and enjoy~!
